On the 4th of September, Macedonia will play a friendly against CF Torre Levante Orriols (CFTLO) of the Spanish fourth division.
The Macedonian national team wanted to play one friendly before next Monday’s qualifier against Spain, and they found an opponent in local side CF Torre Levante Orriols. Macedonia is currently undergoing preparations in the city of Valencia (which is also where the Spain game will take place), so they negotiated a friendly with a local club near their hotel. There were earlier rumors of a friendly against Bahrain’s national team, but a suitable agreement could not be reached between the two federations.
We were informed of Thursday’s friendly by the good people who run the Twitter feed of CF Torre Levante Orriols. They noted that the friendly will be played behind closed doors on the pitch at the “Parador de El Saler” hotel. That is where Macedonia’s national team is based this week.

By the end of Tuesday, only striker Jovan Kostovski was not present from the 23 players that were called up. However, he had an excuse since his club team, OH Leuven, played a game on Tuesday in the Belgian second division. Kostovski will arrive in Valencia on Wednesday.
