The Macedonian federation showed its support for the countries in the region strongly hit by floods by announcing that all proceeds of ticket sales for Friday’s qualifier between the U21 national teams of Macedonia and Portugal will go to the areas affected by the floods.
The Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) made that announcement in a press release on Tuesday. For this Friday’s qualifier between the U21 national teams of Macedonia and Portugal in Skopje, all of the proceeds on ticket sales will go to the areas that have been affected by the devastating floods. That includes Serbia and Bosnia, but also parts of Croatia as well.
Also, before the senior national team departed for Austria (where they will hold a week long training camp), the players, coaches and staff of the federation posed for a photo with a large banner showing their support for Serbia and Bosnia to get through these difficult times. Central defender Daniel Ivanovski, for instance, also did his part by sending bunch of supplies to the region to help out.
