Mirko Ivanovski and Astra got past Boban Nikolov and Viitorul to reach the semi-finals of the Romanian Cup.
Today’s quarter-final matchup between Astra and Viitorul featured a Macedonian player on each team with Mirko Ivanovski (Astra) and Boban Nikolov (Viitorul). Mirko’s team celebrated a 3:0 win to become the first team to book a place to the semi-finals of the domestic cup competition.
Ivanovski started as the lone striker for Astra and played until the 64th minute when he was substituted by Sadat Bukari, while Nikolov came off the bench for Viitorul at the start of the 2nd half to replace Alin Cârstocea. Nikolov was also shown a yellow card in the 70th minute. Astra scored its three goals in the 32nd, 35th and 88th minute on their way to the win.
