Keep in mind that many of the little known names on this list made their two appearances against China (friendlies held on June 18 and June 22 of 2014). The roster for those China friendlies was made up primarily of domestic league players, thus why you see some of the players above.
Interestingly, Mario Gjurovski found himself on the initial squad list twice (versus Latvia in March of 2014 and Belarus in March of 2015), but he withdrew both times. Mario is the nephew of Boshko.
Excluding the two China friendlies, Krste Velkoski was the only player to be called up for the other nine games that Gjurovski managed. In his eleven games in charge, Macedonia was outscored by ten goals (scored 7 goals and conceded 17 goals).
This long list of players illustrates one of the main problems for Gjurovski. He was constantly shaking up the squad and changing formations on the fly. He played with five defenders against Spain, then went to a 4-2-3-1 formation for some games, before deciding to go without a classic CF altogether. That led to a lack of continuity and chemistry that eventually resulted in his dismissal.
