Hristijan Kirovski scored his third goal of the season for Apollon who cruised to an easy 5:1 home victory over Alki.
It was a great start for new Apollon manager Mihai Stoichiţă who recently took over the Cypriot club. In his first game in charge, the manager opted to start Kirovski as the lone striker in an attacking minded formation. Hristijan played until the 81st minute when he was replaced by Moustapha Bangura. In the 67th minute, with Apollon already leading 3:0, Kirovski managed to get on the scoresheet with a nice shot past the Alki keeper. Kirovski also played a part in the second goal for Apollon in the 20th minute when he attempted a spectacular bicycle kick which was barely missed but he opened up some space for one of his teammates who then scored past the visiting keeper.
As for the visiting side Alki, Nikola Gligorov also got the start and played the first 45 minutes before he was substituted at the start of the 2nd half by Yusif Rahman. Alki was down 3:0 at halftime so the manager sacrificed the defensive midfielder Gligorov and brought on another striker in Rahman.
