Central defender Jasmin Mecinovikj could continue his career in Sogndal from Norway.
Norwegian media reports that Sogndal is strongly considering signing Jasmin Mecinovikj after the squad is facing several injury problems before the start of the new season in Norway.
Håvard Flo, Sogndal’s assistant manager, told media that the club has followed Mecinovikj for some time and they liked the player which led them to invite him for a trial. Jasmin should get a chance to show his qualities on Saturday when Sogndal plays a friendly against Strømsgodset.
Sogndal’s assistant manager announced to the media that he hopes Mecinovikj will be with the club until the summer, even if a loan is the only option. That could always be prolonged if he shows to be a good addition to the club.
Mecinovikj was already on trial with another Norwegian side in Vålerenga but he was not offered a contract.
