Attacker Ilco Naumoski scored the game winning goal to lead Mattersburg to a 3:0 home victory over Red Bull Salzburg.
Mattersburg captain Ilco Naumoski started in the playmaker position just behind the lone striker Patrick Bürger and played until the 76th minute when he was replaced by Thorsten Röcher. Naumoski was pretty quiet for the majority of the game as the match was pretty dull with few quality chances but Ilco ended up scoring the game winning goal in the 67th minute.
On the goal, Mattersburg took a short corner which reached Ivan Parlov whose cross in the box was met by Naumoski who scored an unconventional goal with the side of his foot past the opposing keeper. Naumoski was then substituted in the 76th minute and the Mattersburg fans gave him a load ovation. After the substitution, Mattersburg managed to score two more goals in the 85th and 88th minute on their way to the 3:0 victory over Red Bull Salzburg. With the win, Mattersburg stayed second from bottom on the table with 12 points after fourteen rounds in the Austrian top division.
