Aleksandar Ignjovski played in an official game for Serbia against Scotland, thus he is no longer eligible to play for Macedonia in the future.
Until now, all of Ignjovski’s appearances with Serbia came in friendlies, meaning that he was still eligible to play for Macedonia since he is of Macedonian origin. However, the slim hopes of some who had hoped he would one day represent Macedonia are now over after he played in today’s 2014 World Cup qualifier between Serbia and Scotland.
This means that Ignjovski is not eligible to play for Macedonia anymore so he will no longer be included in the potential internationals performances on the website. Ignjovski becomes the latest footballer that Macedonia could not secure and instead he will play for Serbia, one of Macedonia’s opponent in the Group A of the 2014 World Cup qualifications.
