Husmani nets goal for Domžale (Video)

Zeni Husmani scored the lone goal of the game in Domžale’s 1:0 win over Olimpija, but his team was still eliminated from the Slovenian Cup after losing 1:2 on aggregate.

Domžale fell just short in their quest to reach the semi-finals of the Slovenian Cup.  After losing the first leg 0:2 away to Olimpija, Domžale returned home for the return leg that was played on Wednesday.  Domžale notched a 1:0 win, with the goal being scored by Husmani, but that was not enough as Olimpija was able to prevail 2:1 on aggregate over the two games.

The goal by Zeni Husmani came in the 51st minute on a right footed shot from the edge of the area to the bottom left corner.  Domžale kept pushing for an additional goal to send the game into extra time, but Olimpija held firm to clinch a place in the next round of the competition.

Husmani, who will turn 23 later this month, plays in midfield for Domžale.  He holds passports from both Macedonia and Croatia, and was formerly capped by the Macedonian U21 national team.
