Seven players have alreadt left Gostivar, while the club has announced added playing time to their youth players.
The last placed team in the First League is likely resigned that their chances for salvation are slim to none. Gostivar is currently 12 points behind Shkendija and Gorno Lisiche, who with 23 points apiece occupy the last place in the safe zone. Add to the fact that Gostivar is in last place at the moment and 4 clubs will be relegated this season, it makes their mission almost impossible.
So far, 7 players have left the club. Bosnian international Ekrem Hodžić went back to Jedinstvo in his country, Florent Osmani went to Second League side Shkupi, Rufat Chelik and Sadik Jusufi ended up in another Second League team, Vrapchishte, while Nikola Zerdeski, Fljamur Tairi and Djihan Seferi are free agents.
In a statement for yllpress.com, Gazmi Bekjiri from the club’s board said that for the remainder of the season they will give priority to players from the youth academy. That means that the First League newcomers will likely be facing relegation back down to the Second League for next season.
