After being removed from the first team nearly a month ago due to a disagreement with the sporting director, today Boban Grncharov was let go by Botev Plovdiv.
The official website of Botev Plovdiv reported on Thursday that Grncharov and the club have mutually agreed to part ways. With that, Boban becomes a free agent and can immediately pursue a new team during the winter transfer window.
Grncharov was removed from the first team of Botev on 12 December of last year after a disagreement with the club’s sporting director. Now, nearly a month later, Botev Plovdiv and Grncharov have decided to go in their separate directions.
The 31-year-old central defender joined Botev Plovdiv in the summer of 2012. In league play, Boban ended up making 45 appearances and scored 3 goals for the Bulgarian team.
