Despite rumors linking him with a move to Levski, Mario Gjurovski has reaffirmed his desire to stay in Thailand with Muangthong United.
After manager Slaviša Jokanović departed Muangthong United to take over as coach of Levski earlier this month, rumors started circulating that Levski would make a run at Gjurovski to reunite the player with Jokanović. However, Mario denied those rumors and reiterated his commitment to remain with Muangthong United.
Speaking to Muangthong’s website, Gjurovski noted, “I’m glad to draw interest from a team like Levski. However, a move is not possible at this time as my future lies with Muangthong United. The fans have backed me tremendously during my two years here, and this feels like home. We have had a lot of success since I arrived here, and my goal is to help the team win as much as possible in the future as well.”
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has scored 22 goals in 44 appearances since joining Muangthong United from Ukrainian club Metalurh Donetsk in February of 2012.
