Recent Astana signing Filip Ivanovski made his debut in Kazakhstan by making a late substitute appearance in today’s 2:1 win over Kairat.

Since Filip Ivanovski just recently started training with his new team, the Astana manager decided to start Ivanovski on the bench for today’s home game against Kairat.  Filip eventually made his debut in the 89th minute when he came on for Foxi Kéthévoama.  Astana led 2:1 at that time and held on in the dying moments to claim all three points.  The other Macedonian player on Astana, Dimitrija Lazarevski, played all 90 minutes at left-back in the narrow win.

Filip has opted to wear #28 for Astana after 22, the jersey number he wore at Vardar, was already taken at his new club.
