Goalkeeper Filip Gachevski is no longer a member of Kapfenburg after he was recently released by the Austrian club.
Filip Gachevski has been the #1 keeper for the Macedonian U21 national team, but he did not receive many opportunities for Kapfenburg. He did not make an appearance for the first team of the Austrian club last season, and was on the bench only four times when the usual backup keeper Patrick Kostner was out with an injury. Instead, Filip featured in 17 league games for Kapfenburg II who participates in one of the three leagues that make up the third division of Austrian football.
The first team of Kapfenburg was relegated to the second division by finishing in last place last season, but Gachevski was not in the plans for next season which led to the decision to part ways with him. Filip was actually born in Slovenia but decided to represent Macedonia internationally. He originally joined Kapfenburg in the summer of 2010 from Slovenian side Mura 05.
