Due to other national teams losing points over the past month, Macedonia moved up slightly to 101st place on the newest FIFA world rankings list for February.
Because of the bad results in the recent African Cup of Nations, Botswana and Niger lost points and fell behind Macedonia who moved up two positions to #101 despite not playing a game over the past month. Meanwhile, the likes of Oman, Guyana, Zimbabwe, and Malawi are still ahead of the Macedonian team who remained as one of the worst ranked European sides and the lowest ranked national team in the Balkan region.
