Macedonia dropped four places and is one again nearing 100th place. Currently, Macedonia is #94 with 366 points and is in 43rd place among the 53 member associations of UEFA.
The 1:0 home win against the 203rd ranked Andorra wasn’t enough for Macedonia to at least keep their previous position. Macedonia could have moved up with a win or even a draw against Russia but the national team suffered a slim 1:0 loss in that game so Macedonia could not make much ground by beating one of the world’s worst national teams in Andorra several days later.
