Huge drop down to the 112th spot for Macedonia in the latest FIFA World Rankings updated today.
Macedonia recorded a 5:1 defeat by Spain in the opening round of the EURO 2016 qualifiers. This game and the fact that unlike the other national teams Macedonia didn’t play any friendly, resulted in losing 121 points and dropping 36 places. At least that wasn’t enough for Macedonia to be crowned as the biggest dropper as Togo dropped 38 places, while in points Venezuela lost unbelievable 248 points.
The Lynxes are now in company of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominican Republic, Niger, Namibia, Tanzania, Lesotho, St. Kitts and Nevis… while compared to the Balkan countries Macedonia is 59 places bellow the worst ranked country in the region, which is Slovenia on the 53rd position.
