Rabotnicki and Teteks will have their European matches tomorrow in the quest called Europa League.
After the 11:0 aggregate win over Lusitanos from Andorra, Rabotnicki will take on Mika tomorrow at 17.00 CET at the National Arena Philip II of Macedon. Without captain Bojović who will continue his career in China and goalkeeper Naumovski who will be in Romania, Rabotnicki still holds the favorite role, at least when playing at home and according to bookmakers. Mika are certainly no pushovers although they are only at the middle of the table in their Armenian championship. It is an advantage for them the fact that their championship is in progress and the players should be fully fit. Nevertheless, at least at home, Rabotnicki should continue defending the Macedonian honor in Europe, as they are doing the last couple of seasons. It is interesting to note that in Fábio Silva and Wandeir, Rabotnicki has the two leading goalscorers in Europa League at the moment (5 and 3 goals scored). Let’s hope they will remain on top with improved goal-tally.
Teteks, Macedonian cup winner, travels to Latvia to meet unattractive but strong Ventspils who reached group phases of Europa League last season. Ventspils that just won Baltic League several days ago. Ventspils that are clear favorites for this two-legged match. Teteks averaged last season, but with lots of luck managed to became cup champions and earned the right to represent Macedonia in Europa League. Without big changes to the squad and without three important players, Teteks will try to make a surprise in Latvia or at least return with an active score, although their inexperience makes it hard to believe. Yet, it is in the spirit of the sportsmanship to hope and at least we can expect a fair fight from Tetovo team.
