Macedonian Cup holder Teteks managed to take a draw away to Latvian side Ventspils, winner of last season’s edition of the Baltic League.
Ventspils was huge favorite before the game knowing last season’s performances of the club in the Europa League, ending in the group stage. But Teteks came to Latvia not to let a goal, and managed to do that. The Latvians started with three strikers (Michael Tukura, Alexandru Dedov and Eduards Višņakovs) and had more of the game but created only four chances with 6 corners, while Teteks only twice threatened Aleksandrs Koļinko’s goal, who by the way used to be the number one goalee of the Latvian national team. This is a good for the team from Tetovo result before the return leg in Macedonia that will be played on 22nd of July at the National Arena Philip II of Macedon in Skopje.
