The 28-year-old Dushan Savikj recently joined the winter training camp of Luch-Energiya where he will be on trial over the next couple of days.  Yesterday, Dushan played for Luch-Energiya in a friendly against Dinamo București that took place in Antalya, Turkey.

Savikj is currently looking for a new club after spending the past four months with Hoverla in the Ukrainian league.  Dushan made nine appearances for Hoverla during the first half of the season, but the club has obviously decided to go in a different direction by parting ways with Savikj during the winter transfer window.

His potential new team, Luch-Energiya, competes in the Russian second division.  During the 2013-14 season, after the completion of 21 rounds, Luch-Energiya finds itself in 8th place with 31 points.  They are now in Turkey for their winter training camp before the league season resumes in early March.

Savikj has an extensive international career.  He has made stops in countries such as Macedonia, Romania, South Korea, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.  That list could expand by one additional country if Russian side Luch-Energiya decide to offer him a contract during his trial.

Dushan has also been capped 9 times by the Macedonian national team, but he has yet to register a goal.  Savikj was born in Serbia but after he spent his early career with several Macedonian clubs, he was given a chance to represent Macedonia’s national team.
