Damchevski to train with Aktobe in Turkey

Aleksandar DamchevskiNAC Breda announced today that Aleksandar Damchevski will be heading to Turkey to join the camp of Aktobe.

Central defender Aleksandar Damchevski is out of favor at NAC Breda. Lately, he has been playing for the reserves of the Dutch club. So, with him not being in the team’s plans, the official website of NAC Breda announced on Friday that Damchevski would be traveling to Turkey to join the winter camp of Kazakh side Aktobe.

Damchevski was even linked with Aktobe last month, but nothing materialized at that time. However, Aktobe has now renewed its interest in the player. Aktobe is looking for a center-back.

Based on the article on NAC Breda’s website, it appears that Damchevski will be on trial for an undisclosed time. Then, based on how he does, it will be decided whether Aktobe sign him. The winter transfer window remains open in Kazakhstan, but it is closed in the Netherlands. Therefore, NAC Breda would need to release Damchevski for him to be eligible to sign with Aktobe.

Damchevski moved to NAC Breda this past summer after successfully completing a trial. He even played regularly early in the season, but then lost his starting spot for good due to not performing well. The fans of NAC Breda were not very kind to Damchevski as the talk on social media about the player was very negative.
