Macedonia will host Scotland and Netherlands in the opening of the World Cup qualifications. The qualifications for the World Cup that will be played in South Africa in 2010, will start in September 2008.
Macedonian Cup – 1/4 Final
Rabotnicki Kometal, Milano Kumanovo, Makedonija Gjorce Petrov and the Second League club Nov Milenium from Sushica have qualifyed for the semi-final of the Macedonian Cup after the 2nd leg matches played today.
Rabotnicki increases the lead
With the away win over Sileks and after Milano's defeat by Napredok, Rabotnicki increased the lead to 10 points. Vardar again failed to score on "Gradski" and the champion Pobeda left undefeated.
Rabotnicki secured the winter title
Makedonija GP and Vardar shared the points in the derby from the 16th round, while on the other part of Skopje, the leader Rabotnick defeated Pelister and kept the 7 points lead over Milano.
Katanec needs time to think things over
After his contract expired, Srecko Katanec will make public the decision on the offer to retain the post of selector of the Macedonian national team until 20 December
The Cup derby for Rabotnicki
The set of matches between the Skopje rivals Rabotnicki and Vardar continued today with the first leg matches of the Macedonian Cup quarterfinals. The hosts won all 3 matches, while Ilinden didn't appear on the match against Nov Milenium.
World Cup hopes
The draw for the World Cup 2010 qualifiers has been made. Maybe it is a little too early to predict what might happen and who will further qualify for the World Cup 2010 but our group somehow it’s very exciting and give us a lot of hope that the time for Macedonia at least
Goalless draw on the derby
Vardar and Rabotnicki played the big derby this weekend and shared the points in a goalless draw. Milano didn't used this chance to get closer to Rabotnicki because they were defeated by Pelister.
2010 World Cup draw
The Macedonia national football team has been drawn in the qualification Group 9 for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, together with Netherlands, Scotland, Norway and Iceland.
