Macedonian 1st League – Round 28

pobeda-vardarRabotnicki will have to wait at least until the next round to celebrate the title, because today surprisingly they slipped away to struggling Bashkimi and suffered their first defeat this season.

Bashkimi Kumanovo – Rabotnicki Kometal Skopje 1:0 (0:0)

Rabotnicki Kometal had the chance to with the championship today and they only needed a point away to struggling Bashkimi. But the hosts probably had bigger wish to win the points in order to escape from the relegation zone and with the only goal by Esan Sali in the second part, managed to win the match and give Rabotnicki the first defeat this season after. The only positive news for Rabotnicki's fans from this round is the new record that the goalkeeper Tome Pasovski set today. He needed only 25 more minutes without conceding a goal to break the old record of 740minutes set by Lazo Lipovski. Luckily, Pacovski and Rabotnicki's defenders managed to hold Bashkimi's strikers in the first half of the match.

Pobeda Prilep – Vardar Skopje 0:2 (0:1)

The current title holder Pobeda and cup winner Vardar, met todat in Prilep and Vardar eliminated Pobeda's hopes for European matches next season. With the goals by young Petrov and the own goal by Cuculi on the beginning of the 2nd half, Vardar won very important points in Prilep and continued their battle for the 3rd position.

Renova Dzepciste – Milano Kumanovo 1:2 (0:1)

Renova with another defeat by Milano failed to improve their bad record with the team from Kumanovo. The guests had the lead with the goals by Alomerovic and Stojanovic and Trajcov only lowered the defeat. The second half of the match started about 20 minutes later because of the incident on the half time of the match when Renova's captain Ilber Aliju attacked Milano's goalkeeper Edin Nuredinoski. The guests still decided to continue the match, but Nuredinoski was force to end the match because of the facial injuries. With this defeat Renova made a big step backwards on their way for European spot, while Milano firmed on the 2nd position.

Pelister Bitola – Makedonija GjP Skopje 2:0 (1:0)

Pelister confirmed their role of favorites over Makedonija who again continued with their bad results away from home. Blazevski scored in the first half and Elmazovski confirmed the victory before the end of the match.

Shkendija HB Tetovo – Sileks Kratovo 1:2 (0:1)

Shkendija hosted Sileks in Ohrid because of the suspension of their stadium. Both teams were in a must win situation and played a very interesting match. Bekiri took Shkendija in the lead but in the second half Sileks managed to make a turnover and with the goals by Stupic and Markovski won the points. With his defeat Shkendija have dropped on the last position and lowered their chances for avoiding the relegation. 

Cementarnica 55 Skopje – Napredok Kicevo 1:0 (1:0)

Cementarnica probably used their last chance for winning points that will extend their chances for survival. The Brazilan Thiago Rodriguez scored in the 13th minute and the hosts successfully managed to hold the lead until the end of the match, despite Napredok's attacks.
