There will be no football in Macedonia this weekend. Because of the big snow throughout the whole country and the elections that will be held on Sunday, all matches from the Macedonian First and Second leagues have been postponed for next week.
Katanec announced the squad vs the Netherlands
Macedonian national team coach, Srečko Katanec, announced a squad of 23 players for the FIFA World Cup 2010 qualifier against the Netherlands away in Amsterdam. There is one new name in the squad, the 30-years-old midfielder Vulnet Emini from Macedonian First League member Renova.
Macedonian U21 squad for the match vs Greece
The coach of the Macedonian U21 national team Mirsad Jonuz, named the squad for the match away to Greece from the qualifying competition for the 2011 UEFA European U21 Championship. The match will be played in Tripoli on March 28th.
Ben Kantarovski on trials with Bayern München
The great Australian talent with Macedonian origin Ben Kantarovski, will go on trials with German giants Bayern München. The 17-years-old player was recently called up by Australia, but still has chances to play for Macedonia too.
Katanec on a match from Macedonian league
Srečko Katanec, the Macedonian national team coach, was one of the not too many visitors on Philip II of Macedon Arena in Skopje on the match between Rabotnicki and Renova. He still has not announced the squad for the following qualifier against Netherlands, so a player from the championship is still not excluded.
Dutch squad for upcoming qualifier
Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk has announced the 25-men-squad for the following qualifying matches for Netherlands. Macedonia will meet Netherlands on 1st of April at 20.45 CET on Amsterdam ArenA as part of the 9th qualification group for WC 2010.

Reigning champions Rabotnicki continued with their bad results but this time with their first home defeat after almost two years, while Pobeda defeated Pelister in the big derby of Pelagonija. As expected, Makedonija won over Napredok, Metalurg and Vardar drew, while Turnovo surprised Milano.
Macedonian 2nd League – Round 18
Bregalnica from Stip won the derby of the 18th round after beating Belasica from Strumica with 1:0 at home. Teteks failed to beat Skopje away, so after the win against Madzari Solidarnost, Sloga Jugomagnat is again at the top of the table. Sumulikoski in quarrel with Magilton
Velice Sumulikoski argued with Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton on the training yesterday because the club wanted to loan him out to Queens Park Rangers or Watford, but his wish was Preston North End.
