Goran Pandev leaving Lazio

Goran Pandev “I’m leaving Lazio. After five years in Rome, it’s time for me to change the club. I need new challenge and that’s normal for every player’s career. I love Lazio, but I think that I need bigger challenge”, said Goran Pandev after the talks with his managers and Lazio’s board.

Goran Pandev will leave Lazio by the end of this month. English Premiership side Tottenham is the last name on the list of interested clubs and they are ready to offer £15m and it’s an offer that Lazio shouldn’t refuse because by the end of this summer, Pandev can activate the rule no.17 by FIFA and leave the club for only €3m.

“I am leaving Lazio. After five years in Rome, it’s time for me to change the club. I need new challenge and that’s normal for every player’s career. I love Lazio, but I think that I need bigger challenge”, said Goran Pandev for Makedonski Sport.

“I had open talks with the president Claudio Lotio. He is aware that this is the best solution. I don’t want to leave at any cost, so I offered them to negotiate about the offers that they’ve received for me, so Lazio can earn from my transfer. I want to payoff my club who made me what I am today.  According to the FIFA regulations, this summer I can buy my contract and leave Lazio for small amount, but I want a fair parting and that’s why my club should get good amount from my departure”.

Lazio meets Reggina today at “Olimpico” and how likely his move is, can be seen by his statement for Makedonski Sport in which he says that this will be his last match for Lazio on “Stadio Olimpico”.
