Two Maurice Deville goals in the 2nd half, including the game winner in stoppage time, led Luxembourg to a 2:1 victory over Macedonia.

Macedonia faces Luxembourg on the road in a friendly match that will be used for preparations for the 2014 World Cup qualifications.  The game starts on Wednesday at 19.00 CET.

Daniel Georgievski was credited with an assist for Šibenik, Adis Jahović scored a hat-trick for Wil, while Ivan Trickovski was forced to be substituted early by APOEL due to an injury.

After Nikolce Noveski, fellow defender Goran Popov was also withdrawn due to an injury.  To compensate for the loss, Vladimir Dimitrovski, who can play CB or LB, was added to the squad.

Earlier today, speculation surfaced that Macedonia was close to agreeing a friendly with Portugal in late May of this year.  Those reports seem true as the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) published a banner on its official website announcing the friendly against Portugal.

Nikola Gligorov scored a late goal to help Alki collect a point, Goran Pandev and Napoli celebrated a 3:1 victory over Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16, while the teams of Ivan Trickovski and Boban Grncarov were eliminated from their respective domestic cups.

Goal for Ivica Iliev in Poland, direct red card for Marko Markovski in Greece, Izet Hajrovic assisted in Austria, while Ivan Necevski, for the second game in a row, was between the posts in Australia.
