Macedonian Second League – Round 22

Belasica's 4:0 home win brought joy to its fans; photo: localyte.comAfter only one round, Pelister lost the lead at the top of the table as Drita reclaimed the position with its win coupled with a Pelister draw.  Tikvesh, with a win over Makedonija GjP, gave itself a chance in securing a play-off place (third or fourth place), while last placed Belasica managed to mark a 4:0 win over Ohrid Lote.

Pelister was held to a goalless draw in Prilep against Pobeda Junior and thus lost its minimal lead at the top of the table after just one round.  Drita reclaimed the top position by defeating Gostivar 2:0 at home, while Pelister is now tied for second place with Skopje who celebrated a comfortable 4:1 win over relegation candidates Vlazrimi.

In the derby of the round, Tikvesh got past Makedonija Gjorche Petrov 2:0 and showed that the team from Kavadarci is still a candidate for at least a place in the promotion play-off.

Osogovo once again disappointed its fans by failing to beat Lokomotiva in a game that ended without a goal.  The team from Kochani is second from bottom on the table and given the point difference from the safe zone, it is unlikely that Osogovo will remain in the Second League for next season.

Last placed Belasica scored four goals to mark an easy home win against struggling side Ohrid Lote, celebrating only its fourth win of the season.  The well known club from Strumica has won three of those games after the winter break, but given the terrible form in the first half of the season, Belasica is still unlikely to avoid relegation.

In the two remaining games of the round, Korab surprised Miravci with a 2:0 home victory while Rufeja won with the same score in the match against Gorno Lisiche.
