A second derby of Tetovo will be played in two weeks time between Teteks and Shkendija, Rabotnichki hosts Bregalnica Shtip, while Vardar visits Napredok in some of the matchups for Round 24.
A goalless draw was the final result in the Tetovo derby that was played two weeks ago between Teteks and Shkendija. Now, the schedule fell in such a way that the two teams will meet once again in this round. This will be Teteks’ fourth consecutive game at the same stadium in Tetovo as their previous three opponents were Shkendija and Renova (twice) before they face Shkendija again on Sunday. Teteks will look to get out of the relegation zone as the club has fallen to second from bottom on the table, while Shkendija needs the points in the battle with Metalurg for second place.
Rabotnichki awaits Bregalnica from Shtip in a game that is most compelling besides the Tetovo derby. These teams have already played two very interesting games earlier in the season with Rabotnichki winning 2:1 at home after trailing 0:1 at halftime, while Bregalnica won 3:2 in Shtip by overcoming a 0:2 deficit to down Rabotnichki. All five goals in that game were scored in the 2nd half.
The table leaders Vardar visit Napredok who took a point from Metalurg in the last round. Vardar has a 14 point edge over Metalurg, and will look to get even closer to clinching the league title. Vardar has yet to lose a league game this season with 18 wins and 5 draws. In the earlier matchup in Kicevo between these two teams on 13 August of last year, Vardar celebrated a narrow 0:1 victory.
Meanwhile, Metalurg travels to Ohrid where they will face a team who is fighting to avoid relegation. Ohrid desperately needs the points at home, but Metalurg is a tough team to beat as they have only conceded 10 goals this season, and have suffered just two losses (against Shkendija and Vardar). The problem for Metalurg has been too many draws and since the 2nd half of the season resumed in Macedonia, Metalurg has only scored two goals in five league games.
In the two remaining games, last placed 11 Oktomvri, coming off a surprising road draw against Rabotnichki, hosts Sileks while Renova goes on the road to face Horizont Turnovo.
