Srecko Katanec has officially extended his contract with the national team of Republic of Macedonia. Katanec and the Macedonian Football Federation have signed a new 2-years long contract.

Squad problems for Katanec
After making the mistake with calling only 18 players for a friendly match, Srečko Katanec and the Macedonian national team are now facing squad problems with only 16 players available for the match against Serbia.
Away to Bosnia in March
After the friendly matches against Serbia and Poland, the Macedonian football federation arranged a friendly match in Bosnia and Herzegovina as preparation for the World Cup 2010 qualifications.

Macedonia will play a friendly match against Poland on 26th of May 2008. The football federation of Macedonia accepted Poland's offer and the game will be played on a neutral pitch in Germany.
Katanec stays with Macedonia
Srecko Katanec has decided to accept the offer and continue coaching the Macedonian national team. Katanec will lead Macedonia in the World Cup 2010 qualifications.
