Vardar striker Filip Ivanovski barely edged Shkendija attacker Ferhan Hasani to be voted as the best player during the first half of the season while Darko Velkovski was chosen as the best young player by the fans.

The manager of Rabotnicki, Gjore Jovanovski, held a press-conference yesterday in which he revealed many of the negative aspects of football in Macedonia and suggested that it would be wise to suspend football activities for five years.

Home wins for Vardar and Shkendija, Metalurg destroyed Ohrid 6:0, slim road win for Renova, Teteks and Rabotnicki shared the points in a draw, while Napredok managed to grab a point at 11 Oktomvri in the dying moments. This was the end of the first half of the season in Macedonia.

The last round of the first half of the season is on tap for this weekend and one thing is certain – the top of the table will remain unchanged until at least March of next year.

The first half of the season concluded in the second division with an important road win for Pelister over table leaders Drita, Miravci was surprised at home by Lokomotiva, while Tikves piled on more misery to last placed Belasica.

Rabotnicki finally recorded a win after eight consecutive losses in league play, Vardar and Metalurg were held to road draws, while Bregalnica continued their solid form with another win.

This round features several interesting games, although there’s no real derby. The top three teams on the table will all face tricky road games.

Goalless draw between Skopje and Drita, home wins for Pelister, Treska, and Tikves highlighted some of the action from the 14th round of the Second League.
