The big derby of Tetovo between the heated rivals Shkendija and Teteks is on the schedule this round as well as the match between the top two clubs on the table in Vardar and Metalurg.
Shkendija already lost one derby at home, the one against Vardar this past Thursday so the club will have to get ready for another emotional game. The local and heated rival Teteks will be facing the title defender in the derby of Tetovo. The first matchup between these two clubs was played in Round 10 and Teteks celebrated a 2:0 win thanks to goals by Borche Ristovski and Aleksandar Stojanovski.
In the other big match of the round, table leaders Vardar host second placed Metalurg at a neutral venue since Vardar’s home, the National Arena Philip II of Macedon, is still under construction. Vardar has a seven point edge over Metalurg and will look to extend it to ten after this game. The first match between Vardar and Metalurg earlier this season ended in a 1:1 draw.
In the remaining games of the round, Renova will square off against Napredok in the only game that will be played on Saturday since Renova plays in the same stadium as Teteks and Shkendija, and those two clubs play a match the next day, so the Renova game was moved up a day. Bregalnica Shtip will be looking for the first point this spring against Horizont Turnovo at home, Rabotnichki travels to Ohrid, while Sileks hosts last placed 11 Oktomvri.
