Shkendija won against Metalurg in the derby of the round, while Pelister got past Bregalnica for their first win of the season.

Gostivar destroyed Vrapchiste, Makedonija GjP, Miravci and Skopje snatched three points, while Tikvesh collected a point away to Gorno Lisiche.

A derby clash in Tetovo between Shkendija and Metalurg and Vardar taking on Teteks are some of the games on tap for this weekend.

Stunning eliminations for Rabotnichki and Napredok, Teteks, Pelister, Turnovo and Gorno Lisiche won convincingly, while reigning cup champions Renova barely got past Poeshevo.

Round 2 of the First League concluded today with three more matches.  Napredok stunned Vardar 1:0, proving that the defending champions are beatable.

After the conclusion of the second round, only Pobeda Junior and Vrapchiste have compiled the maximum six points from their two matches to open the new season.

The two best Macedonian football leagues continue this weekend with the second round of the season.

The First round of the 21st edition of the Macedonian First League has now completed with Vardar and Metalurg, the two favorites, both recording wins over Rabotnichki and Sileks, respectively.

The season in the Second League began today which was marked by wins of promotion favorites such as Miravci, Skopje and Makedonija GjP.

The 21st edition of the Macedonian football season starts this week. Vardar will look to defend the title, Pelister returns to the First League, while Drita debuts at the highest division.  The Second League also gets underway as well.
