BATE Borisov, the parent club of 20-year-old Bojan Gjorgievski, today reached an agreement with Skonto for Gjorgievski to spend the next season on loan with the Latvian club.
Earlier in the winter transfer window, Bojan Gjorgievski transferred to BATE Borisov from Metalurg but he was not going to see much playing time with the Belarusian club this year so BATE decided to send him on a season long loan to Skonto from Latvia to further his development.
Skonto, from the city of Riga, is one of the top Latvian sides and has won the most domestic championships, although Ventspils has been the best club in the country over the past six years. Skonto finished a disappointing 4th place last season so they will be looking to improve on that position once the new season starts in Latvia later this month.
