Defender Boban Grncarov scored an own goal for Lierse during today’s 2:2 draw against Cercle Brugge.

Boban Grncarov started at CB for Lierse and played all 90 minutes but had a bad moment during the game when he scored an unfortunate own goal in the 46th minute.  It came right at the start of the 2nd half with Grncarov sending the ball into his own net after a cross from Cercle Brugge player Kevin Janssens who just entered the game at the beginning of the half.  That goal tied the game at 1:1 as both teams would then go on to score one late goal apiece to settle for the final 2:2 scoreline.

It turned out to be a dramatic finish as Cercle Brugge took the 1:2 road lead in the 90th minute before Lierse scored the equalizer two minutes later, in stoppage time, through Soufiane Bidaoui.
