Marius Şumudică, the manager of FC Brașov, told the club’s official website that his team is expecting several players on trial in order to improve the Romanian side.  He said, “Two players will arrive on trial today in Portuguese defender Diogo Silva and Liberian striker Dulee Johnson while in the coming days, we expect the same from Macedonian striker Baze Ilijoski.”

The club from the Romanian top division officially began preparations for the second half of the season.  Brașov is currently in 12th place out of 18 teams in Romania with 20 points after 18 rounds.  The club has only scored 18 goals in those games so they are looking to strengthen the attack.

Ilijoski is currently a free agent after his contract expired with Macedonian side Metalurg.  He was in solid form during the first half of the season with ten goals after 17 league appearances.  Metalurg has offered him an improved contract while Vardar was also rumored to be interested in Ilijoski but it seems the player would prefer a move abroad.  Besides Metalurg, the 27-year-old Ilijoski has played for Rabotnicki and South Korean sides Incheon United and Gangwon.

Baze has also made 6 appearances for the Macedonian national team and has scored one goal.
