A number of Macedonian players were in action during the midweek period, most of them taking part in domestic cup matches. Here is a recap of their performances:

Goran Pandev added a goal for the second consecutive game for Napoli, Hristijan Kirovski netted a brace for Iraklis, Vlatko Grozdanoski and Antonio Stankov scored one goal apiece for their respective teams, while Stevica Ristic and Slavcho Georgievski assisted in South Korea and Azerbaijan, respectively.

Darko Glishikj scored a late game winner for Dinamo Tbilisi, Mensur Kurtishi converted a spot kick in the penalty shoot-out for Tobol, while Darko Tofiloski was shown a red card for Košice in a Slovak Cup match against Slovan Bratislava.

Stevica Ristic converted a penalty for Suwon in the AFC Champions League, while Samir Fazli provided an assist for Helmond Sport.
Macedonian internationals performances
Hristijan Kirovski and Nikola Tonev reached the back of the net for their respective teams, Bajram Fetai provided an assist for Denizlispor, while Vanche Shikov and Jasmin Mecinovic both received red cards in Ukraine and Hungary, respectively.

A second half goal by Eden Hazard proved enough as Belgium collected the maximum six points from its two matches against Macedonia with a 1:0 victory in Brussels.

Macedonia had its chances but several missed opportunities, especially in the 1st half, and a couple of refereeing decisions that went the visitors way resulted in a 0:2 road victory for Belgium.
