Famous Croatian coach Branko Ivanković has officially applied for the position of a coach of the Macedonian national team, after Katanec resigned recently. Macedonian First League – Round 27
A beautiful Sunday afternoon brought many surprising results in the 27th round of the first league. Vardar defeated Rabotnicki, Pelister stole a point from Makedonija, Metalurg defeated Napredok, while Pobeda and Turnovo returned with full spoils from their trips to Kratovo and Kumanovo, respectively.
Eight-year ban for FK Pobeda
FK Pobeda have been banned for eight years from UEFA club competitions by UEFA control and disciplinary body. Aleksandar Zabrcanec and Nikolce Zdraveski have been banned for life from exercising any football-related duty.

Macedonian First League – Round 24
Round 24 from the Macedonian first football league was played this round and was marked with the biggest Macedonian derby between the old rivals Pelister and Vardar. Besides the derby, this round will be also rememberd by the four draws on the five played matches, where only Turnovo celebrated a win over Sileks.
Cup semi-final 1st leg
Rabotnicki and Makedonija Gjorce Petrov secured wins over their visiting rivals in the first leg of the cup semi-final matches. Rabotnicki won over Shkendija with 3:1, while Makedonija defeated Milano with 2:0.
Srecko Katanec resigns
Srečko Katanec is no longer Macedonian national team coach! Following the 4-0 defeat to Netherlands, Srečko's contract with FFM got annuled and together with his coaching staff they will not lead Macedonia anymore.

Almost 24 hours after the final whistle of the encounter between Macedonia and Netherlands, reactions are still arriving. Macedonia were underdogs, we couldn’t say that we didn’t expect a defeat, but the poor display by the players makes you ask yourself – whose fault is it?
