Macedonian First League – Round 24

 Round 24 from the Macedonian first football league was played this round and was marked with the biggest Macedonian derby between the old rivals Pelister and Vardar. Besides the derby, this round will be also rememberd by the four draws on the five played matches, where only Turnovo celebrated a win over Sileks.

Pelister Bitola – Vardar Skopje 0:0 (report)
Pelister hosted Vardar in the biggest Macedonian derby. 5000 fans on the "Tumbe kafe" stadium made very good atmosphere for this match, but the players failed to show them beautiful match.
The most interesting chance on this match happened on the beginning of the match, when Emurlahu's shot from the left side hit the post. Pelister had a very good chance to take the lead in the 10th minute when Glavevski tried to lob Pacovski but his shot was not precise and ended next to the goal. After the interesting moments in the opening minutes, both sides played very cautious and failed to threaten on the opponent's goal.
Apart from the shows by the supporter groups of the clubs, "Ckembari" and "Komiti" the fans on the stadium had to wait until the 70th minute for an excitement on the pitch. Rutevski sent a long shot towards Vardar's goal and Pacovski blocked the ball which came to Dragan Dimitrovski who scored. But this goal was disallowed because Dimitrovski was in offside position when Rutevski shot on the goal. The hosts protested to the linesman, but it was clear that the striker was in irregular position and this goal was reasonably disallowed. Few minutes later, Vardar had the last chance on the match. Gligorov took a corner from the right side and Peev sent a header, but the ball went past the post.
This was the second match between Pelister and Vardar which ended with no goals this season. With this draw, Pelister stayed on the bottom of the table.

Metalurg Skopje – Makedonija GjP Skopje 1:1 (0:0) (report)

Eight placed Metalurg who is threatened with the play-out zone, had big motivations to win points against leaders Makedonija. The hosts had more of the possession in the first half which can be seen by the ten corners in front of Makedonija's goal, but failed to convert the posesion in to goal scoring chances and there were no big excitements in the first half.
Makedonija made more pressure in the second half but Metalurg's defence managed to stop their attacks until the 78th minute. Nikola Kleckaroski used the excellent ball from De Brito and brought his team into a 0-1 lead with a shot from the left side. But only 2 minutes later, after a mistake by Makedonija's defence, Krste Velkoski equalized and set the final score.

Pobeda Prilep – Renova Dzepciste 2:2 (1:1)
2' Stanojlovic, 90' Tripunoski – 31' Ibraimi, 61' Todorovski
Pobeda and Renova played probably the most interesting match this round. The hosts took the lead right on the start of the match when in the 2nd minute Nebojsa Stanojlovic scored with a shot from 18 meters. In the 14th minute, Nestoroski with a header scored another goal for Pobeda, but this goal was disallowed because of an offside. In the 31st minute, Besart Ibraimi used the good assist from Ali and equalized the score.
Blagoja Todorovski took Renova in the lead with a nice shot from 16 meters in the 61st minute. And when everyone thought that Renova will take the points from Prilep, Nikola Tripunovski equalized the score with a long shot in the last minute of the match.

Napredok Kicevo – Milano Kumanovo 1:1 (0:0) (report)

Napredok hosted Milano on the empty stadium in Kicevo because of their two-match suspension. The strong wind made problems for the players, so there were not many chances on both sides. Milano had a chance in the first half when Gligorovski received an excellent ball from the right side but failed to capitalize. Napredok had the best chance to score right before the half-time whistle but two players from the hosts failed to bring a 1-0 lead.
Napredok started the second half with several great chances. In the 46th and 50th minute, the hosts had two chances from the right side with crosses by Angeleski. Blagoj Levkov finally opened the scoreline in 57th minute. In the 79st minute, Ardijan Cuculi equalized the score after a huge mistake by the hosts' defence.

Turnovo Horizont – Sileks Kratovo 1:0 (1:0)
28' Mitrev
Turnovo is the only team that won the three points this round. But it could have been much different if Bosko Stupic scored from the penalty kick for Sileks in the 3rd minute. Dejan Mitrev punished the guests and scored the only goal on this match in the 28th minute.
