Former Macedonian international Armend Alimi will stay in Cyprus as he switches from Nea Salamis to Ermis.
Armend Alimi was initially brought to Cyprus in the 2013 winter transfer window by former Macedonian national team manager Mirsad Jonuz, who at that time was in charge of Nea Salamis. Alimi, from all indications, was considered one of the better Nea Salamis players and helped the team barely avoid relegation. After the season, however, Nea Salamis parted ways with Jonuz and Alimi’s future standing with the team came into question.
Alimi drew interest from Shkendija but his first preference was to stay abroad. To that point, he recently reached an agreement with Ermis, a newly promoted top division club that has been very active during the summer transfer window.
