The Macedonian U21 national team lead by the coach Boban Babunski, noted another defeat. This time Macedonia was defeated away to Lithuania with 1:0 and is now on the last place in the qualifying group 9 with only two points after six played matches.

The defeat was announced on the start of the match in the 5th minute when Zagurskas scored after a shot from the right side.
After the conceded goal, Macedonian players took the initiative and had more of the play in the middle of the pitch, but Lithuanian defense didn’t allow them to create any serious chance. Stankov, Gjorgiev, Urdinov and Ristovski threatened, but nothing serious.
Macedonia had the best scoring chance in the 72nd minute, but Dragan Gjorgiev didn’t use his chance from the left side.
