Angelovski invites Danny Musovski to play for Macedonia

National tea coach Igor Angelovski has got in touch with US player of Macedonian origin Danny Musovski and has invited him to represent our national team.

Musovski is one of the many players with Macedonian origins that we constantly write in our Potential international performances articles. Danny is a 24-year-old striker who has never featured for any US national team, so he is free to play for Macedonia.

Born in Henderson, Nevada, the 1,82 cm tall player has started in the Las Vegas Sports Academy before moving to college side UNLV Rebels. Since than he changes quite a few clubs before finally making it in the MLS: Las Vegas Mobsters, Burlingame Dragons, Tucson and Reno 1868. Meanwhile, he was part of MLS side San Jose Earthquakes where he did not get a chance. Since last December he is at Los Angeles for whom he debuted in July against Houston Dynamo in the MLS is Back tournament. So far he has scored 4 goals for LA in the 2020 season and has assisted once.

“I made the initial contact with Musovski. I talked to him, asked whether he possesses Macedonian documents and if he wants to play for Macedonia. He responded that he will need time to think on the subject. I will continue to follow him because he is very interesting player for us”, said Angelovski talking to Macedonian language web site Gol.mk.

Musovski scored a brace four days ago in the 3:1 win over Seattle Sounders. He got a chance to play from the start as many players went on international duties and he seized the occasion.
