Emmanuel Duchemin, the person in charge of recruiting new players in Amiens, still believes in Vlade Lazarevski and thinks it’s important to give him time.
In an interview with French newspaper Le Courrier picard, the 32-year-old Emmanuel Duchemin, in charge of recruiting players to the club, was asked about about some of the bad transfers and whether the team made a bad decision to sign Macedonian international Vlade Lazarevski. Keep in mind that Lazarevski has only made one appearance for Amiens this season during a Coupe de la Ligue game but has not been called up for any league games.
Duchemin was asked why Lazarevski is not called up by Amiens when he is a regular member of the senior national team of Macedonia. Duchemin answered, “He recently played for Macedonia against Armenia and Slovakia and had good games. He is an intelligent player but it may be necessary to give him more time to adjust to the team.”
Then, answering whether Lazarevski was signed too quickly, Duchemin said, “No, we have seen his matches on DVD and he was on trial for 15 days. Lazarevski wanted to play in Europe and accepted a reasonable offer. He will not be let go and I’m sure he will do everything to fit in with the club.”
The next game for Amiens is tomorrow when they face Sedan on the road. After 12 rounds in the French second division, Amiens finds itself in 18th place out of 20 teams with 11 points. They have drawn the most games of any team in the second division with eight draws from the first 12 games.
