Aleksandar Damchevski tries to impress Domžale

Aleksandar Damchevski has been without a club since he departed Dutch side NAC Breda last summer. He was then on trials at Parizan in Serbia and later in Slovak side Slovan from Bratislava, but did not manage to convince them to sign him. Meanwhile he already agreed a contract with Velež in Bosnia-Herzegovina, but unluckily FIFA did not issue the much needed international certificate because the transfer window was already over in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Now Damchevski is being tested by Slovenian top division side Domžale. He already played the whole 90 minutes in yesterday’s friendly against Austria Klagenfurt that the Slovenians won 2:1. He was the only player to remain on the field for the entire game, which is normal since he is on trial.

23-year-old Damchevski was born in France and therefore has a EU passport. He has 4 appearances for the senior Macedonian national team. At Domžale there are currently the former Macedonian U21 national team DM Zeni Husmani and LB Dejan Trajkovski who is born and raised in Slovenia who was recently summoned in their national team, but did not play.
