The report by ekipa.mk about Adis Jahovikj moving to AEL Limassol was wrong as Vorskla announced on its website that the player is staying with their club.
The story by ekipa.mk about Adis Jahovikj transferring to AEL Limassol was baseless. It still remains to be seen why Jahovikj then linked the article to his public facebook page, but we know now that the report was false.
Here is a screenshot of Jahovikj linking that article on his facebook page:
Vorskla just published an article on its website stating that Jahovikj is not going anywhere. It said that Jahovikj participated in a workout with his teammates this morning.
Jahovikj was also quoted as saying, “Information on the site is wrong, somebody probably made a joke. I have no idea about it. I am a Vorskla player and the transfer speculation can be closed.”
As a reminder, the story began on late Thursday when ekipa.mk reported that Jahovikj was transferring to AEL Limassol. Then, shortly thereafter, Jahovikj himself linked that story to his facebook timeline. Adis is an active facebook user and that is definitely his profile. Based on that, we picked up the story and reported the news as well.
However, we know now that Ekipa’s original report was wrong and Jahovikj will indeed remain a member of Vorskla.
