Djelil Abdula lands in Gorno Lisiche

Gorno Lisiche hopes to have found a solution to its left back problem by adding Abdula Djelil.

The 22-year-old Abdula is back in the Macedonian league after his Dutch and German adventure lasted 2 years. A product of Shkendija, Abdula transferred to De Graafschap in the Netherlands during the summer of 2011. However, after one season in which he only made 4 league appearances, he was let go by the club. The next season Djelil went to German side Duisburg (then part of the 2nd league) where he played in 18 matches, but those were for the Duisberg II team. Last summer, he became a free agent and has been without a club until his decision to now join Gorno Lisiche.

He signed a 6 month deal with Gorno Lisiche, lajmpress.com reported. Their future collaboration will depend on whether the club will survive in the First League. Currently, they are just 1 point above the relegation zone and will have a hard fought battle with the likes of Makedonija GjP, Bregalnica, Shkendija and Renova to avoid the drop.

Abdula has formerly been capped for the Macedonian U21 national team.
