Macedonia U19 was stopped by Abuja on their way to the final of Kvarnerska Rivijera 2013.

Macedonian U19 national team did not manage to reach the final of the Kvarnerska Rivijera tournament in Croatia. In the semi-final, Macedonia faced the Nigerian team Abuja and were defeated 1:0. The lone goal of the match was scored by Sadiq in the 67th minute from the 11 meters spot, after Talevski fouled Sulejman in the box, Sportcom.hr reports.

Macedonia also finished the match with 10 players after Ristevski was sent off in the 71st minute.

Macedonia: Shishkovski; Ristevski, Talevski, Najdovski, Trajkovikj; Dimov, Demir, Angelov; Velkovski, Kostovski (62′ Zhuta), Babunski.

Abuja then went on to win the tournament, defeating Osijek in the final 1:0.

The Macedonians should have stayed and fight for the 3rd place, but instead they left the tournament and went to Turkey where they will participate at the XVIII Mediterranean Games.
