The U18 team of Metalurg became champion in that age category, while their U20 team is about to do the same in the Youth League.
Although the season is still not concluded, Metalurg has clinched the title in the domestic championship for U18 players. And they did it with style, celebrating an impressive 7:0 win over title contenders Makedonija Gjorche Petrov.
The U20 team of the same club is also close to win the title. With only 3 rounds until the end of the season, Metalurg U20 has a 7 point advantage over second-placed Rabotnichki. Both teams faced off this weekend with the game ending in a 2:2 draw.
Previously, Metalurg also won the Youth Cup trophy by beating Vardar on penalty kicks.
These results are showing that Metalurg is doing a nice job in their youth categories, and the club’s philosophy will be to build their first team by promoting the best players from their youth system.
