The Macedonian women’s national team suffered another heavy loss, this time losing 8:0 against Russia.
In another game of the women’s EURO 2013 qualifiers, Macedonia suffered one more convincing defeat by losing 8:0 to Russia. It was 2:0 at halftime before the Russian women added six more goals after the break. FFM announced a new manager for the women’s national team, hoping that it will lead to better results, but the debut for the new manager resulted in another heavy defeat.
Lineup for Macedonia: Chakmakoska, Smilkovska, Ginovska (71′ Stojanova), S. Andonova, Arsova, Mileska (90′ Angelovska), Roki, Brahimi, N. Andonova, Naceva (80′ Naumoska), Petrova.
Remained on the bench: Kostova, Salihi, Dimkoska, Mitrevska.
With the loss, the Macedonian women’s national team stayed in last place of Group 1 with only one point after five games. The goal difference now stands at -24 in those games.
The Macedonian women next play Greece on the road on 4 April. The women’s national team picked up its only point in qualifying when they drew 1:1 against Greece at home on 26 October 2011.
