German club Wolfsburg is apparently showing interest in signing the talented attacker Ferhan Hasani from the Macedonian champions Shkendija.

Due to his impressive season in which he was named the best player in the Macedonian top division by our website, Ferhan Hasani is drawing interest from clubs such as Wolfsburg, Hajduk Split, and Groningen.  It seems Wolfsburg has the most concrete interest in Hasani and according to Macedonian newspaper Dnevnik, the club is willing to pay 400,000 euros to acquire the services of Hasani.  Hasani will turn 21 in a couple of days and is known as a great dribbler whose preferred position is on the left wing.  He is also very good at taking free kicks and scored some stunning goals this season.  Wolfsburg is coming off a disappointing season in which they finished 15th on the table.  The manager of Wolfsburg is Felix Magath who has experience with signing players from Macedonia as Magath signed Besart Ibraimi from Renova when he was the manager of Schalke 04 in January of 2010.  The signing of Ibraimi did not work out but Magath does have a reputation of signing players from lesser known leagues.

Hasani was a regular for the Macedonian U21 national team until recently when he was called up to the senior national team by Mirsad Jonuz.  Boban Babunski, the manager of the U21 team, has called Hasani the best player in the Macedonian top division and it seems Hasani is ready to challenge himself in a tougher league.  Hasani recently played the majority of the game for Macedonia in the EURO 2012 qualifier against Ireland and he showed flashes of his talent throughout the match.  There have been several newspapers in Macedonia that have reported about the apparent interest of Wolfsburg in Hasani but there has been nothing in German newspapers about this rumor.  So, the question is whether the management of Shkendija is getting Hasani’s name out there on purpose in order to further promote him or whether the Wolfsburg interest in Hasani is real?
