Welsh fans to face Sloboden in friendly match in skopje

Macedonia will host Wales on Tuesday evening in Skopje in Round 2 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. For that occasion hundreds of Welsh fans will come to Skopje, among them the Welsh Fans Team.

The Welsh Fans Team is the unofficial football team of the Wales supporters who is playing matches when their national team visits some country. So far they have played 125 matches, the last being away against Iceland in October 2024. sometimes they play at home, but most of their matches are on the road.

On Tuesday, the day of the WC qualifier, but at 12.00 CET, the Welsh Fans Team will play a friendly match at the FFM Petar Miloshevski Training Center in Novo Lisiche, Skopje against the local forth division side Sloboden, currently second-placed in the 4.MFL Kisela Voda. It will be tough two days for this Macedonian team as before this match they have to play the postponed league match against SSK Mladinec on Monday at 19.00 CET in Drachevo.

The three match officials will all be female referees, while the entrance will be free of charge.

Sloboden and the Welsh Fans Team are promising good entertainment for everyone that will show up on the stands.

This will be the second match of this kind for Sloboden as in November 2023 they played against the England Fans at the Petrovec stadium. That was before the 2024 EURO qualifier Macedonia – England in Skopje that ended 1:1.
